When Windows detects that a new critical update is available it gives you the option to update now or to be reminded again in 1 day. This tweak allows you to change the default 1 day reminder period.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'CurrentDelayInterval' using the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.


(Default)	REG_SZ	(value not set)
CurrentDelayInterval	REG_DWORD	0x00015180 (86400)


	HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\Critical Update

Settings:

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\Critical Update]
Name: CurrentDelayInterval
Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value: Time in seconds (Default = 86,400)
